In week one, we learn about the setting up our online portfolio and getting oriented to our responsibilities in the classroom.
Weekly Schedule
Monday: Bell ringer: Check your email, and visit my website! Hint - if you are reading this you have successfully completed your bell ringer!
Work Session: Please visit https://crevado.com/. Then follow the steps below: 1. Click "Get started now", then enter your first and last name. 2. Enter your email address (I would use my school address). 3. Choose a password (be sure to write it down if needed)!!!! 4. Choose a portfolio address (Please use first and then last name and then SHS) if available. ---> Ex. lucimcneelySHS WRITE THIS DOWN!! 5. Follow the directions on the website for the instructions. 6. Go to the "Pages" tab. Go to the about line, and on that line there will be a small piece of paper, that you will click on to edit the page. 7. It will pull up a profile picture, please change the information to reflect an art profile if you had one. Include information like: your grade, your preferred medium, etc. 8. Scroll down and submit a profile picture, (needed by the end of the semester) 9. Now click on the galleries tab, and create the following galleries Art 2: Create an Art 1 gallery,Art 2 gallery, Sketch gallery Art 3: Create an Art 1 gallery, Art 2 gallery, Art 3 gallery, and a Sketch gallery Art 4: Create an Art 1 gallery, Art 2 gallery, Art 3 gallery, Art 4 gallery, and a Sketch gallery 10. Your galleries will be empty right now. Because you don't have any images ------> *Be sure that you scroll down on this page and submit your personal Crevado web address. Submission of this will count as a quiz grade. ------> Finish your portrait features from last week. They are in the box, please get them and finish them to submit for a daily grade.
Closing/Homework: Shut down computer, please place them back onto blue bookshelf. *******You will need to bring some art samples in from previous semesters to upload into those galleries. These need to be brought in no later than Wednesday.
Tuesday: Bell ringer: Welcome back to the website. Please visit the box on my desk to retrieve your facial proportions worksheet.
Work Session: Use Youtube as a source to help you fully develop the faces on the back of your portrait features! Please watch several of these videos, as it will only help you.

Wednesday: Bell ringer: Day three of logging on....WAY TO GO!!! Day 1 of sketch book journal - Sketch out your favorite food, book/movie, and hobby. (Yes you need to have papers that you keep together that you can turn into me as your sketch book journal, it can be on loose leaf paper). Sketches should only take you 10-15 minutes.
Work Session: Multi Task where appropriate. Here are your tasks for today:
Begin using the classroom computer to take pictures of your old artwork. Please log onto crevado.com and start uploading the pictures into your correct albums. If you need help using the SD card to upload, please let me know!
Remember that your "facial features" daily assignment is due today!!!!
You will begin your first PROJECT!!!!! I know that you are Art 3/Painting, but part of your standards encompass reviewing standards from Visual Arts and Drawing. We need to work and review a few "fine details" so that we can see that in your work from your paintings! You will take the paper provided for you in the paper tray and break it into a 3x5 grid. A key is provided for you. You will be creating a project like down below. All the practice, will now pay off! What I am looking for in this project is the repetitiveness of the drawing and the improvement of your skills. The hope is that by the time you get to the end, your skills will have improved and your eye looks realistic.
Closing/Homework: Shut down computer, please place them back onto blue bookshelf. Please put your start of your first project on the drying rack with your name on the back.
Thursday: Bell ringer: Day three of logging on....WAY TO GO!!! Day 2 of sketch book journal - Draw your hand in multiple positions. Sketches should only take you 10-15 minutes.
